Its feels both quicker and plusher than the FN2. The engine sound is also very nice - but far too quiet cf to the honda. Having said all this, when I ended my test drive I was dissappointed with the audi. Its a better car, but its not as fun to drive or own. Chuck into the equation the 15 grand premium over the honda and for me that kills it. 20th June 2010, 22:48 #13 (permalink) Orschild Supporter Car: 2008 1.8 5D SE, Galaxy Grey Join Date: 7th January 2008 Location: Sweden Posts: 736 Thanks: 34 Thanked 34 Times in 31 Posts iTrader: (0) Quote: Originally Posted by Marvintheandroid I test drove a 2009 S3. The steering to be too vague, gearbox not tight enough although the thing was fast! Not quite as fast as my car though I was surprised to find! But when the power does kick in its pretty quick but it all whooshes in the space of like 500rpm which is personally hard to control and drive smoothly. This is why I HATE turbo cars and went for the CTR as the power delivery is so smooth and more fun to drive. its a nice car though don't get me wrong, but its a totally different car compared to an FN2. as for the S3 its just the same engine with a few tweaks here and there but i bet its still boring to drive with a mile long clutch and meter long gear changes (typical German!) combine that with group 18 insurance and another say 5000 on optional extras on top of the 30000 price tag for a car that only looks subtly different to an A3 TDI why bother? get an A5 S Line for that money mate!
