happy to complete the purchase. I am fed up of bidders who win auctions then ask questions later. Don`t waste my time, or your own. Audi A6 diesel, manual in very good condition. This car drives superbly. I have owned it for a few years now and it has never had a single problem. It`s been serviced whenever the computer says it needs to be done. I also had the cambelt and water pump replaced about 35,000 miles ago, as these should apparently be done every 70,000 miles or so. It recently had the brakes done, as well as having two tyres fitted. All mechanical work is done by an Audi specialist, using original parts only. The car has the usual spec - cruise control, air conditioning etc - but has a few others. These are: DVD player in the rear. This is professionally fitted, and well concealed to avoid any horrid little oik smashing the window to rip it out. You wouldn`t know it`s there. It has screens for the rear passengers, set into the front headrests; one of these has been disconnected, as the headrest was loose for some reason; I will try and re-fit it before the car is sold. I`ve tried the player and it works fine on the other screen. The sound is played back through wireless headphones and there are two/three sets included. There is also a load of cables and a couple of antennas in the back window - I`m told this may be a TV tuner, or cables to allow video games to be attached, but I can`t confirm that - you`d need to get advice. Bury carphone kit. This is useful because the handset mount is interchangeable, and they sell a whole range for different handsets. It`s fitted with the base for an older model Nokia, but can be removed at the press of a button. This was a very expensive car kit. The car is in very good condition throughout; it has a few stonchips etc, and the driver`s floormat is a little worn, but otherwise it`s a superb car. Drives excellently, and is a pleasure to drive. Mileage is high, but this is reflected in the price, and it is nearly all motorway mileage. MOT is for 12 months - I took it to the garage today and it passed with no problems at all. He then asked if the car can be mot`d an oil, oil filter and spark plugs to be changed. So again he was rung when the car was ready. Then came the excuses, card been cloned, in another country, did`nt get our letters, emails or even phone calls. So the car was put into storage untill he was ready to pick it up. Now he is nowhere to be found or heard of. After a long wait through solicitors the car has now been handed over to us via log from the dvla, hpi cleared and ready to sell to get our money back for the work carried out and storage fee`s... 2 years later!!!! is the engine, this was changed as the old one had a noise in it, the engine has only done 62000 and is very sweet and quiet, it was a complete unit with turbo etc so all the ancillaries have only done 62000, this is documented in the history file. I have just put fresh synthetic oil in and a filter, new cam belt kit and a fan belt. I do all my own work as I worked in a VW/Audi dealership, now I restore classic Jags and MG`s. The body work is very tidy and all the panels are original, the interior is equally as clean and straight. This car was owned for 3years by good friends of ours so I know it has been well cared for and not abused.As I say it is very clean and straight, the only marks on the paint work are so minor you have to look for them, which is expected on a used car, there is only one very small mark on the drivers seat ( 5mm ) which again is not noticeable. Mechanically the car is spot on as you would expect, the only other thing I can fault the car on is a line of "pixels" on the on board computer display is missing ( this is very common ) but it does not stop you reading it These Quattros are wonderfull economical machines with power when you need it, a smooth ride with fantastic road holding, what more could you want from a car. miles, it still feels like a new car and is a pleasure to drive. We`ve followed our dream and just purchased a Saab convertible - hence the sale. I have to say that the Audi is a better drive - despite it`s age! In fairness, there are a few cosmetic blemishes such as stone chips and some rust on the offside rear wheel arch, but overall the car is in solid condition. The exhaust is a bit smelly on cold startup, but it is fine once warm. It never used to use any oil between changes but it does need a little top up every few thousand miles or so. I`ve done the servicing and repairs myself over the years and have kept records. Many oil and filter changes, spark plugs etc, cam belt (twice), auxiliary belt, water pump, discs and pads all round, radiator, catalytic converter, thermostat, ignition switch, transmission fluid change (twice). I recently replaced the power steering pump and the air-con was re-gassed recently (what a difference!). Battery is 2 years old. I even replaced all the little bulbs that had blown in the speedo and dashboard! There are no oil or water leaks. It`s taxed until the end of September and the MOT is till next April. It`s even got half a tank of petrol! I`ve tried to be honest in my description, but please contact me if you want any further information.
